Whitelisting's of ShadowMap IPs

Modified on Tue, 30 Sep at 11:40 AM

ShadowMap performs continuous security assessments to help you identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across your digital assets.
To ensure accurate scanning and prevent legitimate traffic from being blocked, we request customers to whitelist our IP range: 157.119.40.0/27 within their WAF, DDoS protection solutions, or Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring systems. This ensures our security scans are not mistaken for malicious activity, allowing for uninterrupted assessments.

No firewall ports need to be opened, and ShadowMap does not require access to any internal systems or networks. The whitelisting only applies to security controls that may block external scanning traffic.

Why Whitelist ShadowMap IPs?

  • Prevent legitimate security scans from being blocked by firewalls, WAFs, or security controls.
  • Ensure comprehensive visibility into your attack surface without interruptions.
  • Avoid false positives due to blocked scan attempts.
  • Maintain the integrity of security assessments by allowing ShadowMap to complete full scans.
